The Blue Ridge Mountain SWCD will be sponsoring a bus in June to carry students from Northeast Georgia to the Natural Resources Conservation Workshop in Albany.
CATOOSA COUNTY SWCD
Poster-Essay Awards Picnic
Catoosa County SWCD will hold a Conservation/Poster Contest Awards Picnic on April 30 at the Elsie Holmes Nature Park in Ringgold to honor participants in their annual poster contest.
COOSA RIVER SWCD
Bartow, Chattooga, Dade, Floyd, Gordon, Paulding, Polk & Walker Counties
In 1937, Coosa River became the first district to be established in Georgia and the second to be established in the United States..
There will be a Farm and Nutrition Field Day on June 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Oakdale Farms in Rome. Breakout session topics will include gardening, pasture management, fencing, 4-H projects, canning , food safety and more. This event is open to all, and a lunch will be provided.
