2025 Natural Resources Conservation Workshop

The Natural Resources Conservation Workshop (NRCW) is a week long program, with an impressive 64 year history, that teaches upcoming 10th, 11th, and 12th graders about natural resources and related skills, careers, and educational opportunities to seek those career paths. Its an immersive experience that includes a taste of college life featuring classes, field trips, hands-on activities, and recreation hosted by Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Topics are presented by experts from Georgia’s leading natural resource related agencies, so this is a great opportunity for students to ask those questions that could lead them down their future career path! Conservation Districts across Georgia are pleased to sponsor the registration fee of $375 for each student to attend FREE OF CHARGE! As a thank you to our Districts, we ask that students registering make sure to attend, and cancel ahead of time if you are unable, so we can give another student the opportunity.

Students may ask:
Do I qualify to attend? The answer is Yes! Any student currently in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade qualifies. Public school, private school, Homeschool- all are eligible! If you are a currently a senior and would like special permission to attend, please notate on the application and I will contact you directly.
Is this workshop right for me? Yes! Whether you are experienced with agriculture or natural resources, or never been exposed- we have great experiences to extend knowledge or introduce students to opportunities in Natural Resources.
Can I really attend free of charge? Yes! Thanks to the support of Georgia’s Soil and Water Conservation Districts, students are sponsored to attend for free! Students can bring money for snacks, drinks, or items from the college store if they choose. They are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks from home as each dorm has a fridge. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner are provided as part of the workshop.

application

needs to be filled out by students and parents. Please insure all information is complete, with signatures, and submitted before the deadline of April 30, 2025 to ensure your/your student’s spot this year! Completed packets should be emailed to [email protected] .
